          Cenon Rivera (b.1922 - d.1998) was an artist, writer, and teacher.

          He studied at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) under the mentorship of Victorio Edades and taught in the same university from the 1950s until his retirement in 1994. Rivera apprenticed in Vertrate d’Arte Giuliani in Rome, making him one of the few Filipino artists trained in stained glass making.

          Notably, he designed stained glass murals in the Mt. Samat National Shrine in Bataan and stained glass panels in the Immaculate Conception Cathedral of Pasig. His practice in glass making became evident in his paintings and prints that made use of horizontal and vertical grids similar to stained glass designs.

          In 1997, he was conferred the title Professor Emeritus at UST for his contributions in the College of Architecture & Fine Arts.
